He then received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Texas Dental Branch, where he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental honor society. “As an orthodontist, I enjoy developing relationships with so many wonderful people in our community. I am also fortunate to have the opportunity and ability to give our patients the perfect smile they always wanted. A great smile can give you the self-confidence to truly change your life. Dr. Krivan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Texas in Austin. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston and was inducted into the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. "I truly love what I do! Orthodontics is an extremely rewarding profession that combines a special blend of art, science and personal relationships.” I greatly enjoy the daily challenge and creativity required in caring for the unique dental needs of each patient. I feel an enormous sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in helping people achieve the healthy and beautiful smiles they desire. I am very blessed to be in a profession that can truly make a positive difference in people’s lives."
As a member of numerous professional organizations and a participant of regular continuing education opportunities, Dr. Krivan remains committed to providing his patients with the most current and effective treatment options. He was honored in 2004 when the American Board of Orthodontics asked him to present four treated cases at the annual session in Orlando, Florida, as representative of the excellence the board seeks in state-of-the-art orthodontic care. The board further recognized his work by publishing one of his cases in the July 2005 peer review journal of the American Association of Orthodontists.

Dear Patient Family, I want to give you all an update on our COVID-19 status. As you may be aware, yesterday afternoon Greg Abbott issued another Executive Order postponing any elective dental procedure until after April 21. This date is still subject to change but for now we cannot see patients back until April 22nd. Therefore, we will not be rescheduling appointments until we know for sure that we can start back. I will continue to keep you updated on any changes! The good news is your treatment will continue to progress even though we are unable to see you right now! For any Invisalign patients, we have emailed you directly to introduce our fancy new “drive-through" aligners so you can continue your treatment! For patients in braces, the best thing you can do is keep taking care of your braces! Be careful of all the "quarantine snacks” so you don’t cause something to break or come loose. Since there’s not much else to do… wear your rubber bands if you’ve been instructed to do so and brush your teeth that full two minutes! It’s like I always say, you control your destiny in braces. Keep taking care of them and they’ll be off sooner! Of course I will be available to handle any true emergencies. Please call the on-call number at 832-304-4450 or email me at email@example.com with any questions or concerns. Here’s another tip, take a picture of your issue and send it to me so we can diagnose the problem virtually. We are sorry for the inconvenience, but want you to be assured that the health of our patients, team and families is of utmost importance! Take care of yourselves and we WILL get through this! Much love from our orthodontic family to yours. ❤️ - Dr. Darsey #darseykrivanortho #houstonbraces #update #covid_19
